Great news, fans of participation! After a long review of their citizen advisory committees, the City of St. John's is ramping them back up and has effectively pressed a "reset" button on all of them, meaning that every seat on every committee is now open, and citizens are welcome to apply to more than one. 

Participating in these advisory commitees is a great opportunity to get more involved in the life of the city, and bring your valuable voice to the table on issues you care about. So apply! Do it now! Here's how:

First, read the combined terms of reference linked here - the applications will refer to this document. Then, think about whether you're interested in an advisory committee, expert panel, working group, or combination. 

Advisory Committees 

The City has 6 of these:

  • Municipal Advisory Committee on Youth (MACY)
  • Arts and Culture Advisory Committee
  • Downtown Advisory Committee
  • Environmental Advisory Committee
  • Accessibility and Inclusion Advisory Committee
  • Seniors Advisory Committee
