The concept of a Neighbourhood Summit came from Happy
City's work in the community and a growing need for greater
capacity at the neighbourhood level. While some neighbourhoods have
established neighbourhood organizations, many have organic and less
traditional community-level organizations via social media or have
no established neighbourhood organization.
The Summit will be held at Memorial University's new
Signal Hill Campus, and participants will have the opportunity to
take part in panel discussions, expert presentations, and
interactive design sessions. Lunch and nutrition breaks will be
provided. There is a suggested donation of $25 with registration to
help pay for food and other related costs.
